Titanium foam main performance
Titanium powder sintered filter material (including tube type and plate type) is a micro filter element made of industrial high-purity titanium powder (99.4%) as a raw material, after sieving, forming, and sintering. Therefore, the titanium powder sintered filter material with its high-tech material composition and special molding process, has its unique excellent performance:
a) Uniform pore size, stable pore shape and high separation efficiency.
b) High porosity, low filtration resistance and high penetration efficiency.
c) High temperature resistance, can be used normally below 250 ℃.
d) Good chemical stability, acid and alkali corrosion resistance (PH2-12), and anti-oxidation performance.
e) No particles falling off, no secondary pollution of the original liquid, which meets the requirements of food hygiene and pharmaceutical GMP.

Application fields of titanium foam
Titanium filter element with its unique properties can be widely used in the pharmaceutical industry, water treatment industry, food industry, bioengineering, chemical industry, petrochemical industry, metallurgical industry and gas purification field is a new type of filter material with broad development prospects. Typical uses include:
a) Decarburization filtration in the concentrated distribution of large infusions, small injections, eye drops, and oral liquids in the pharmaceutical industry, and security filtration before terminal filtration in the diluted distribution.

Precautions for using titanium foam
a) Titanium filter is a consumable. Although it is more durable than other filter elements, it should be careful not to scratch, hit, smash, or drop during cleaning and disassembly to prevent man-made damage. It is strictly prohibited to apply force to the surface of the filter element with tools.
b) Under normal circumstances, the filtrate is filtered from the outside of the filter element, and reverse filtration is not recommended.
c) When filtering, slowly pressurize to the required working pressure, and it is strictly forbidden to open the valve immediately and quickly pressurize.
d) Maximum working pressure ≤ 2MPa. When the filtration efficiency is less than 50%, it is necessary to use clean air or clean fluid to blow back flushing in time.
e) When performing backflushing and backwashing, the titanium filter element is generally backflushed with pure gas, the backflushing pressure is 1.2-1.5 times of the working pressure, each backflushing time is 3-5 seconds, after repeated operation 4-6 times Backwash with clean fluid, backwash 3-5 minutes, 2-3 operations.
f) If the filter element is backflushed and backwashed online, the pressure loss is still serious, and it should be removed in time for cleaning.
Titanium foam cleaning method
Titanium filter element can be regenerated and cleaned by physical method and chemical method according to the pollution situation and the chemical properties of the pollutants combined with the physical and chemical properties of titanium metal. The physical methods are mainly used: clean liquid backflushing, clean gas backflushing and ultrasonic cleaning. The chemical method mainly uses: dilute acid, dilute alkali, oxidant, surfactant, enzyme and other cleaning agents. The above methods can also be used interchangeably. According to several common applications, the cleaning method is as follows:
a) The decarburization and filtration in the pharmaceutical and chemical fields should always use backflushing and backwashing methods combined with ultrasonic cleaning to achieve the best results.
b) In the water manufacturing industry, most of the water-soluble salts and oxides trapped on the surface of the filter element are generally immersed in 5% nitric acid, and the cleaning effect can be achieved without ultrasonic cleaning.
c) Filtration of the original liquid, combined with the chemical properties of the pollutants, should be cleaned by the following methods:
(1) Alkaline washing: Soak in 3-5% sodium hydroxide analytical solution for 30-60 minutes, the temperature is about 40 degrees, which is the best in the ultrasonic cleaning machine. After soaking, use filtered deionized water or water for injection to flush to neutrality, and measure the conductivity. Dry with pure air ≥0.4MPa.
(2) Pickling: Soak in 5% nitric acid solution for more than 8 hours, the temperature is about 40 degrees. Best in ultrasonic cleaners. After immersion, rinse it with filtered deionized water or water for injection to neutrality and lateral conductivity. Dry with pure air ≥0.4MPa.
(3) Organic matter pollution can be combined with surfactant cleaning, cell debris pollution system combined with enzyme cleaning effect is more ideal (food and beverage can use high concentration citric acid cleaning).
(4) The above methods can be used alone, or they can be used in conjunction with each other. If conditions permit, the combination of ultrasonic cleaning machine works best.
Note: Frequent online backwashing (backwashing with pure compressed air or filtered stock solution or clean water for online cleaning) can reduce the number of cleanings by the above method.
